The Artifact

A memorable experience from my first semester at Ohio State was the basketball game I went to with my friend Alex. We decided last minute to buy season tickets not knowing what the best offer was. The Villanova game was offered to every student for free and we felt like we had to go. When we got there we got our tickets not knowing how amazing the seats were going to be. Because of the last minute decision to buy season tickets, we got floor seats only three rows up from the bench. It was an incredible experience, especially because the Buckeyes upset Villanova. It was so much fun cheering with Ohio State students all around us. The stadium was packed to the top and was so loud every time we scored.

An artifact that represents this experience is the ticket. I decided to keep our basketball ticket because of how memorable the experience was. As a freshman I was blown away by the student section and how proud everyone was to be a Buckeye. It is times like that which make you proud to be where you are at. The ticket represents every aspect of that. It represents the pride, the fun in making decisions, and home. Being an Ohio State student truly gives you that sense of belonging.

The artifact I choice to write about was the ticket. My Ohio State basketball ticket was given to me because of my decision to by the student season package which was one of the best decisions I have made this school year. Its significant because it will always remind me of the game and spending quality time with my new friend who I hope to know a very long time.
