Year in Review

[ “Year in Review”  is where you should reflect on the past year and show how you have evolved as a person and as a student.  You may want to focus on your growth in a particular area (as a leader, scholar, researcher, etc.) or you may want to talk about your overall experience over the past year.  For more guidance on using your ePortfolio, including questions and prompts that will help you get started, please visit the Honors & Scholars ePortfolio course in Carmen. G.O.A.L.S.

  • Global Awareness: I will develop a global perspective through course work with my minor in International Studies, as that will teach me a lot about global diversity.  I also hope to to further my global awareness through a study abroad trip at some point during my four years here at Ohio State.
  • Original Inquiry: As a data analytics major, it will be difficult to find a good research project here on campus, but I hope to find one that lines up with one of my outside interests or have a similar experience through an internship.  I also plan on taking rigorous course work throughout college and making sure I am always being challenged with my classes.
  • Academic Enrichment: As an honors student, I know I have to take challenging courses at all times and demonstrate and further my academic ability.  I hope that by taking difficult courses in a wide variety of areas, I become a well-rounded student and person in general.
  • Leadership Development: In my time here at Ohio State, I hope to improve as a leader in and out of the classroom.  I plan on being involved in multiple student organizations and working my way up to a leadership position.  I want to make an impact on Ohio State in some way before I graduate.
  • Service Engagement: I hope to take part in a wide variety of service opportunities on campus.  I enjoy volunteering but I am still looking for the right opportunity that fits in my schedule.  I look to soon find the right community service project and make sure to be involved in it.
