Hello, my name is Colin Martinez-Watkins and I am a first year honors student in the University Exploration program. I am a life-long resident of Columbus and a graduate of Columbus City Schools. My relationship with The Ohio State University has been a lifelong one, from going to football games as a child to participating in OSU studies during high school, and I have always had the thought that I might attend this university. Although my major is not specified yet, now that I am here at Ohio State, I know what I want out of my higher education. Through  some form of engineering, I hope to have an impact on the world’s transition to renewable energy and environmental health in general. My passion for the environment extends to my hobbies, as I enjoy outdoor activities like biking, hiking, sports (soccer, tennis, etc.) and traveling to other places to do all three. If the weather isn’t good, I love reading, watching films, and listening to different kinds of music. In professional situations, I bring a calm, analytic, team oriented approach to projects and enjoy meeting new people in the process.
