What I’ve Learned In This Class

Throughout this class we have learned about a lot of resources that can be used to better enhance your experience with technology they can also be used to make your life easier. The future is moving in the direction of technology so this class is a class anyone who wants to be ahead of the curve should take. Of the many resources we have learned abut my favorite would have to Trello because Trello is currently the most useful resource in my life. Since crating an account and completing the Trello assignment I have been using Trello to keep track of due dates for homework assignments, quizzes and exams. I have also been using Trello to keep track of non school related activities as well such as appointments I may have and little things like reminders reminding me to stay on track. Below is a Trello board that I made for this class where I put all my homework assignments and quizzes that I had due for the week.

Online Notes

Online note taking is the future. In the past students would always take notes on paper but now there are many programs that make it easy to take quick and efficient notes without every having to pick up a pen and paper. All students at Ohio state are now given iPads and Apple pencils to take notes with. This shows that Ohio state is trying to be ahead of the curve and is encouraging students to take notes using their laptops or tablets. In todays day- in age everything is already done online anyways and with the creation of things like apple pencils it is a no brainer to take notes online. With the Apple pencil you can take notes directly on powerpoint slides and follow along with the teacher. This saves time and paper as well. Below are some resources that help explain online note taking.

Technology

Technology is a very effective teaching tool. Growing up I was always a visual learning and using technology is great way to help visual learners. Technology can help keep students engaged through the use of interactive videos and activities. The us of technology has be shown to increase student retention rates as well. Below is an article about how technology can improve retention and increase test scores for students.
