“Lixiprothesma Daneia” begins with a joyous event. Inspector Haritos is marrying off his daughter. His joy, however, does not last long. Because in the following days, a murderer appears that kills bankers and people in finance. And if that were not enough, Athens fills with posters urging those who owe money to banks to not pay their installments on their loans and credit cards. Because the unknown murderer also kills foreigners, in a period in which the prestige of the country is at its nadir, Haritos and the Greek police run and can’t arrive. “Lixiprothesma Daneia” is the first entry in a trilogy, the Trilogy of the Crisis. All of the three murder-mysteries have at their center the crisis that robs Greeks today.
