This spider is one of the members of the family Anyphaenidae, the ghost spiders. Most species in this group are pale in color, and nocturnal.

As appropriate for a ghost spider, these spiders are only out hunting at night. They are very fast and and can jump to avoid capture, a fact which is hinted by their name “saltabundus” which means “jumps a lot.” During the daytime they hide in a thin silken sac that they build in a hidden spot, often under a leaf.
