There are about 700 species of spiders known for Ohio, nearly 150 known for our prairie. The lists are constantly growing because we have only a fragmentary knowledge at this point. In this gallery of photos you see a few examples of the spiders from the prairie. For many tiny and shy species, we have no good photographs, yet. So this is a small subset of the amazing diversity of our beautiful spiders!
