Your objective line drawing really worked well! But making a subjective line drawing is hard -especially with the pencils that I suggested you use. I would recommend trying to work on your line weight on the page. What happens when you lighten or increase the pressure of the pencil on the page? This should create the effect that you are getting by drawing over the line a couple of times, with just one move – just one gesture. This technique will also create cleaner and more confident lines on the page, and I challenge you to try it.
