Applications Open for 2020 Ohio Export Internship Program
The Opportunity
The Ohio Export Internship Program is designed for companies looking to export for the first time or to improve their current export initiatives. The program matches businesses with highly motivated students from Ohio universities and colleges who have taken export-focused coursework at The Ohio State University Max M. Fisher College of Business, Cleveland State University’s Monte Ahuja College of Business, Youngstown State University’s Williamson College of Business Administration, and University of Dayton, School of Business Administration. Participating businesses are provided a 50 percent reimbursement for intern wages. This internship program will offer a mutually beneficial relationship to students and companies by providing real-world experiences in which both can learn and grow.
The Advantages
• Up to $3,600 reimbursement for intern wages
• Trained, full-time summer interns will focus on export development
• A uniquely tailored scope of work with
specific deliverables
• Students are mentored and closely supervised by the Ohio Development Services Agency and other partnering export assistance providers

The Commitment
Companies participating in the program must provide the following:
• Strategic commitment to grow an export market
• Compensation for internship position
• Managerial guidance for the intern
• Existing or planned export budget
• Participation in program evaluation
