Mammoth Cave National Park, located in south-central Kentucky, is home to the longest known cave system in the world. With over 400 miles explored, and potential for hundreds more miles yet to be discovered, the cave system attracts thousands of visitors per day. The park also holds a unique history dating back to its first human explorers thousands of years ago and includes a brief period as tuberculosis housing in the 19th century.
