My drawing was a little difficult in terms of what I did for shading. I had natural lighting from the back and a light source from the front. I tried to focus a lot on measurement with this project, however I found myself not taking up the entire page which looked off at the end. I think in terms of textures I wish I would have thought about diluting my ink rather then dipping it before I put it on my page. I chose objects that would be a challenge to draw. The scissors especially were hard to draw with ink. For my tools I used a q-tip a lot as well as a mechanical pencil for thinner lines. If I could do my project over again I would focus more on filling the page and use different textures. I find myself being a perfectionist more often then not. So I seem to want to make everything neat and clean rather then going out of my comfort zone. Drawing with ink was exciting and nerve racking at the same time! You have to get it right the first time rather than being able to fix it like with charcoal. I enjoyed hearing everyones opinions. I actually “framed” my drawing like you suggested just to see how it would look. It looks more clear and definite now! In my second drawing I tried to use a different technique with the lines you taught us in class last week. I used the lines in different directions and I like how that turned out better on the page! I liked this project!!
