#1 Notability

  1. Overview
    1. Notability is a note-taking app that is available on the App Store and Mac App Store.
      1. https://www.gingerlabs.com/
  1.  Pros
    1. Notability is easy to use and intuitive. It has a sleek design that is very friendly to the eye. Notability prides itself on not having very many bugs. It also runs very smoothly on ios. Notability is cross-platform as well.
  2. Cons
    1. If you are a mac user, I do not recommend notability as your note-taking app. It has many synchronization issues, and it is known to crash semi-frequently. The price of Notability is $8.99, which may seem like a lot for an app, but it is well worth it. The downside to that price is that even after paying 9 dollars, there are still in-app purchases available.

#2 Trello

  1. Overview
    1. Trello is a list-making and project tracking app that is available on The Windows Store, The Mac App Store, and the App Store.
      1. https://trello.com/
  1.  Pros
    1. Trello is also easy to use and has an intuitive dashboard. Since it has so many features, it offers a beginner tutorial for advanced app use. Trello is also cross-platform. This means that any change made on an iPhone will be made to Trello on its other devices automatically. Much like google docs, multiple users can share a Trello page, and all work on it at the same time.
  2. Cons
    1. Unlike Google Calendar, Trello does not offer time tracking on its boards. This is a little frustrating because it is really useful to be able to see how close you are to a deadline you set. The only thing Trello shows is a red clock that notifies you if you are past a deadline. Trello also doesn’t off offline connectivity. This means you can not access your projects unless you are online. Also, when it comes to making and tracking a project on a single card, multiple deadlines are not supported.

Microsoft OneNote Review | PCMag

#3 OneNote

  1. Overview
    1. OneNote is a note-taking app available on The Windows Store, The Mac App Store, and the App Store
      1. https://www.onenote.com/
  1.  Pros
    1. OneNote is a really nice alternative to Trello and Notability because it is completely free. OneNote is cross-platform like Trello, which means it can be accessed on a windows computer, unlike Notability. It also has an extensive list of beginner and advanced note-taking features. A lot of its features are shared with other Microsoft apps, like Word.
  2. Cons
    1. OneNote has fairly long syncing times between multiple devices. This can make it difficult to switch between your computer at home and your iPad in class. OneNote also has frequent performance and formatting bugs. Even though Microsoft updates it frequently, there are still some unresolved issues. Even though the app is completely free, it has premium features if you have a Microsoft 365 subscription.
