ASC: Readiness Competencies Certificate

I am thrilled to share that I recently received a professional certification! The Arts and Sciences Career Success Program partnered with New Horizons Computer Learning Centers and Kolena Exchange to present this opportunity to Arts and Sciences students.

I decided to take advantage of this program because I believed that it would allow me to develop my hard and soft skills. As stated previously, these courses were held online through the Kolena Exchange learning platform.

Through this program, I was trained on Delivering Constructive Criticism, Conflict Resolution, and Civility in the Workplace. Despite being held on the Kolena platform, the structure and pacing of the courses were almost identical to one of my asynchronous online classes this semester. Due to my familiarity with the format, I was able to work efficiently and gain invaluable insight.

If presented with the opportunity, I would highly recommend completing this easy-to-use platform.

I am eager to utilize my newfound skills in the workplace!

National Residence Hall Honorary 2021 Induction

I am so excited to share that I have recently been inducted as a member of the National Residence Hall Honorary for having made outstanding contributions to the residence hall community at The Ohio State University! I am eager to participate in this organization and learn more about how I can improve on-campus living for students.

All the members of this organization are so kind and so passionate about the work that they do. I greatly admire their work-ethic and intend to learn a lot from them during my time at The Ohio State University.

Certified Green Buckeyes Program Completion

I am happy to share that I have recently become a Certified Green Buckeye through the Certified Green Buckeye Program!

To provide information, according to The Office of Student Life, “The Certified Green Buckeye Program is a sustainability initiative to promote energy and environmentally conscious living within residence halls.”

I was so excited to learn about this initiative because I have been looking for ways to become more environmentally conscious and eco-friendly for awhile now. To receive my certification I completed a short questionnaire about what things I do to incorporate sustainability into my everyday life. The questionnaire was eye-opening to me because not only did it allow me to become aware of my own habits but gave me ideas on how I can improve my sustainability efforts on and off-campus.

The achievement level that I earned was “Gray Level”! I am looking forward to taking the questionnaire again a year from now and seeing how much I improved.

I encourage you all to try the questionnaire to learn more about yourself and how your actions impact your community.
