Columbus To-Do Part 1

For the Columbus To-Do List I chose the Local Food list to explore. I’m looking forward to trying new types of food that I haven’t tried before. I hope I get to get to know Columbus a little better by exploring different restaurants in the Columbus area. So far I have visited The Thurman Café. I actually went with my family when they visited me one weekend before a football game for lunch. I really liked the fact that while you’re waiting they had a popcorn machine that you could use to make popcorn and eat. They also have a neat pinball machine that my brother and I played on and an arcade game stand that had Mrs. Pacman and Galaga. When you go in to eat it’s pretty cramped because the dining room is pretty small. What was really cool was there random decorations all over the room like license plates, old photos, beer logos, neon signs, and my favorite, signed dollar bills. The walls were covered with dollar bills that people have signed or written messages on while they were at Thurman’s. The food at Thurman’s was very delicious. My family and I got jalapeno poppers for a appetizer which were very good. For the main course I got a Mushroom burger which was huge! I was only able to eat half of it for lunch. Thurman’s is famous for their huge burgers especially their Thurmanator. I didn’t get one because it was way too big for me but my Mushroom Burger filled me up enough. I would recommend everyone to go to The Thurman Café, but I suggest that you don’t eat anything before you go because you won’t be able to move if you do.20161008_113233
