Year in Review

At the beginning of my college career as an HSS, I did not know much about what I wanted to do professionally or how I was even going to get there. All I knew was that I was and still am a very ambitious person and should always aim high with my professional goals. I explored a few different career paths through shadowing opportunities and decided dentistry was the best path for me. I love building relationships with long-time patients and the challenge of managing my own business, which is why I also picked up a Business minor.

Now, after taking quite a few introductory science classes, I have learned what my strengths and weaknesses as a student are. I have also learned what type of study habits work for me and I have stuck with them. Academically, I did not meet my initial expectations, but today I have learned to be proud of what I have accomplished. As a result, my GPA has greatly improved.

Additionally, I am quite happy with the friends I have made here, whether through HSS or not. For the remainder of my OSU experience, I want to focus more on myself. I want to keep developing my passions for people and for dentistry. I want to keep meeting people with completely different backgrounds than me and take advantage of all the resources Ohio State offers students. I love how easy it is to get involved on campus here. The extracurriculars I am involved in now are all things I have invested a lot of time in and really grown to care for.
