Dr. Ludsin joined the Great Lakes Sea Grant Network aboard the Lake Guardian on a Lake Erie cruise for the Cooperative Science and Monitoring Initiative (CSMI) the last week in September. The cruise was collecting data in central Lake Erie’s hypoxic zone to investigate the impact of hypoxia on the food web.
Like two ships passing in the night, the Lake Guardian met with the Canadian Department of Fisheries and Oceans vessel Cisco to exchange samples and information while on the cruise.
And the beauty of our Great Lake was certainly on display with wonderful sunsets and gorgeous weather.
