Student Researchers

Norah Li (Landscape Research Assistant)
I am a fourth year Landscape Architecture Major with a History Minor. I am interested in how historical landscapes and landscape design can teach us more about our current and past environments, values, and relationships.
Darien Bateson (Art & Technology Assistant)
I am a fourth year student in in Art and Technology. I found the Lost Waters project through the Art and Technology program in a continual effort to create art through unlikely means such as websites, AR, and games.

Jake Glidden (Landscape Research Assistant)
Hello! My name is Jake Glidden and I’m a senior studying Environmental Science with a specialization in Ecosystem Restoration. I love learning about different ecosystems and the intricate parts that make them a large, healthy organism. Specifically, I enjoy researching and identifying plant species (because they don’t move), especially trees. In the future, I plan to do work in vegetation monitoring and native plant restoration.
Pavel Belyanskiy (Art & Technology Assistant)
Hi, I’m Pavel Belyanskiy—a senior in Landscape Architecture at The Ohio State University Knowlton School of Architecture. I originally began my academic journey in computer science, but my passion for technology and design led me to landscape architecture, where I now pursue a path that I plan to extend with a master’s in architecture. I joined the Lost Waters project because I believe immersive technology is a powerful tool for connecting us to our environmental and historical roots. I’m excited to merge my passion for technology, design, and history to create immersive experiences that inspire a sustainable future.
