Master Gardener Volunteer Program Open House

Are you interested in horticulture and all things in the garden?  Then consider becoming a Master Gardener Volunteer.

As part of the Ohio State University Extension, the Lorain County Master Gardener Volunteer (MGV) Program provides training in horticulture.  Working with Lorain County Extension personnel, MGVs volunteer their time to help with various educational programs and activities: answering gardening questions from the public; giving presentations/talks; working with communities to develop vegetable or demonstration gardens; being part of a pollinator study; and many other horticultural activities.

Thomas Becker, the Agriculture and Natural Resources Extension Educator and some of Lorain County’s MGVs will be holding an informational session at the Lorain County Extension Office at 42110 Russia Road Elyria, OH on February 27 at 5 pm. You can reach Thomas at becker.643@osu.edu or 440-406-5254 and/or visit the MGVs’ website: https://u.osu.edu/lorainmgv/.
