Module 6 post

During this week, i learned how to use google scholar and i find that it is very useful for my academic writing. And i summarized three aspects of google scholar in my opinion

Google scholar is very inclusive. It finds various types of academic works and index materials from academic journals, books, conference proceedings, preprint servers. For many disciplines, books and peer-reviewed collections are as valuable and influential as journal publications. But web of science, PubMed and other websites only focus on journal retrieval, so many people who are interested in discovering publications and citation counts prefer to use google scholar.

Google Scholar’s citation analysis is automated. The citation of works can be updated continuously. Even for obscure academic websites, using Google index will make it easier to track and record the influence of academic works. You can even ask scholar to send you an email when your work is up to date. You don’t need to pick them up manually. Problematic measures such as impact factors have no effect: only the citation determines the order of the paper list, which is pure and simple.

Personal homepage made by scholars. Normal people don’t bother to figure out who hundreds of Smith scholars are, and they don’t want to sort out papers that don’t have authors, titles or journal names. One of the Google Scholar team has come up with a very clever idea that allows people who are at stake to do it themselves: individual scholars who want to make sure that their contributions are presented correctly and comprehensively. Therefore, although the references are generated automatically, the publication list on Google Scholar’s personal interface may at least be manually added by the home page.

Module 5 post

In module 5, i think the note taking is the most useful thing i have learned.

Time is precious, notes are a tool to assist you in learning, and the focus is on efficient learning. So no matter how much time you have, don’t waste your time on your notes. We should take notes selectively, and write down what we have summarized or some special points. Many contents can be sorted out and written down in our own words. You can also write some phrases and keywords instead of copying the whole paragraph. It’s hard to write your notes at the beginning. You may have to sort them out once. You’ll be proficient soon.

The purpose of taking notes is to help find the key points in the review, establish a system, and make connections when learning more difficult contents. If only a simple record, and no longer review the use of the basic is useless notes.

If you can’t plan, you can only write down one line at a time. If you can’t find the key points after writing, you can pick the key points and rearrange them. If the writing is too messy, arrange the layout and structure, and try to find the content conveniently. If you don’t remember everything, fill in the content. If you can remember the notes more orderly, can find the key points, the layout is reasonable, as long as you add notes and constantly add content. There are some messy notes, such as lecture notes, listening to public classes, watching movies and documentaries. In most cases, they will not be looked over or sorted out again. Try to digest quickly, sort out the key points and put them into your own knowledge base. If you haven’t sorted out or looked through your notes for a long time, it’s useless. Don’t waste time organizing what you’ve mastered. If a definition, formula or grammar point has been memorized in your mind, don’t write it down in your notes. Notes do not need to be hard organized, nor need to be so neat and good-looking, their own use of the most important. If you have a method you are used to, continue to use it. If you want to adjust, you can try some.

Note taking should have titles and levels. First, you can create a directory, and you can find knowledge points of all sizes. Second, in the future study, it is convenient to review and contact. Align all kinds of titles and contents. When writing notes, pay attention to indenting to form a table of contents. As shown in the figure below, try to align the headings at all levels.

Module 4 post

In this module, i think the most useful thing i have learned is a new word called “Metacognition”.Metacognition is simply the cognition and understanding of one’s own thinking process. (Slide 20)There are five links in metacognitive ability: asking questions, making plans, monitoring implementation, reflecting on evaluation, and timely remedy.

In my opinion, there are two ways to improve one’s metacognition. The first is to fundamentally improve one’s metacognition. In the training of cognitive ability, the declarative knowledge, procedural knowledge and conditional knowledge of learning methods should be organically combined to promote the transformation of declarative knowledge and procedural knowledge into conditional knowledge, which can effectively promote the improvement and development of metacognitive ability.

In metacognitive training, through a series of self observation, self-monitoring and self-evaluation question forms, the second method is to constantly improve the ability of problem-solving through self-examination.

At the end of the module, i also recognize that good memory is very important for a person’s study. Many people will go to the Department of Neurology for corresponding treatment because of their poor memory. It is suggested to increase the memory as follows. First, first of all, you must be calm and calm, and then you must learn more, read more, master new knowledge and learn new skills Yes, continuous learning in this way can promote the development of brain cells and increase the plasticity of synapses, which is crucial for increasing memory. Second, proper exercise and exercise can increase the blood supply of the brain, which plays a very important role in the nutrition of brain cells. Third, we must ensure the intake of high-quality protein, which can nourish nerves and protect brain cells. It is necessary for the development of some brain cells.

Module 7 post

I summarize seven points about learning skills i learned:

Have a good rest.(slide 26) Studies have shown that the main cause of attention loss is lack of rest. If you don’t have a good rest, your attention will be distracted. Take a good rest when it’s time to rest. Adjust your schedule, which is the key to improving your attention. It’s not good to sleep too much. Oversleeping can disrupt your schedule and make you more lazy. Set an alarm clock for yourself to stop sleeping in.

Plan well. Before you do something, think about what you want to accomplish today. If you are aimless, you will easily spend too much time on activities such as checking email, texting, browsing the web. You can’t think about the last thing.Plan in your head before you do something. Use the 5-10 minutes between breaks to check email. Of course, when planning, we must also give ourselves time for entertainment and rest, and pay attention to the combination of work and rest.

Meditation. Meditation helps improve your concentration, because concentration is the basis of meditation. Give yourself a time to meditate every day and practice techniques to improve your concentration.

Choose the environment in which you work or study. Obviously, the school library, study corridor, study room and so on are certainly more conducive to your attention than other noisy public places. A less crowded environment is more conducive to your concentration.

A balanced diet. Eating too much will put too much burden on your digestive system and make you feel uncomfortable and sleepy. In fact, your body needs far less food than you think. Eat light and healthy, and your concentration will be easier to focus.

Change the environment. You will be bored if you keep working in the same environment. Changing your work environment often keeps you fresh and focused. Also, a quite environment will be better for you to study.(slide 9)

Exercise a lot.(slide 29) Another important factor in concentration is our health. If you are tired, sub healthy, or have a lot of minor ailments, it will be more difficult for you to concentrate. Of course, it’s not that you can’t concentrate, it’s just that it’s more difficult than healthy people. So why should we embarrass ourselves? Take care of your health.

module 3 post efficiency

The most useful thing is that i learn some tools to make my work more efficiency. Because for me, the procrastination is a little bit serious. So the efficiency of work is very low. So according to this module i learned, i summarized five points to make the work more effiencient.

I learn to  manage my time to prioritize everything. Things can be roughly divided into three categories for management, which are primary, secondary and general. It’s OK to plan according to its percentage of weight. In reality, to do a lot of things, i can use fragmented time, such as accumulating the amount of reading and learning. Managing my own fragmented time, therefore, is also a sort of time management.

To increase effectiveness and optimize productivity, i can use limited time and rational preparation. Seize the “golden time” concentrate on focus, strive to prevent errors, so that time can reach the highest quality, better leadership. (Slide 17: Making the Most of Your Time)Also, The easiest way to prevent errors is to be prepared, and being organized is also a good way to efficiently handle your time. Job must be done on time, do not delay, know the order of work, make good use of time.In order to shorten office hours, we should continuously learn new knowledge, apps, etc. I can shorten the original time needed by improving ourselves and using the new tools, and turn the initial 2-hour work into one hour, and with half the effort, get twice the result.

module2 post time management

Expression ability is essentially an output ability. It's not just talking. The end of all learning is towards output ability.
This output capability. It can be said that through learning a skill, such as speaking or learning a skill, such as drawing and dancing, the process of finally showing a "work".
I want to try and practice

The first is to have purposeful exercises with clearly defined specific goals. Well-defined specific goals can be effectively used to guide your exercises. Here you need to break down the goals and make a plan. Purposeful practice is focused. To make progress, at least while practicing, one must concentrate completely on the task.
The second purposeful exercise involves feedback. No matter what you are doing, you need feedback to accurately identify where there are deficiencies and how they exist. Feedback can be made by yourself after thinking, or it can be made by others.
Finally, I want to say that purposeful practice requires getting out of the comfort zone. If you never force yourself out of your comfort zone, you will never be able to improve.

Rough draft

I choose this because I want to do something on the board games developing. Maybe my idea is to big, but I will let you know. When I was in china, I really enjoy board games and I always play all kinds of board games with my friends. I used to stay in a board game bar called ‘PANDUOLA’ for a week, just sleeping, eating and playing. Maybe this is called devotion. But my teachers and parents always treat the board games as entertainment. My teacher always criticized me because of my obsession of the board games and said that the board game is a kind of wasting time. However, I do not think so.
When I came to America, I know everything is going differently. On the second week I came to Columbus, I went to a board game bar, and I saw different age of people playing board games in front of the desk. Even two children were playing CATAN with two old people who has white hairs. I think different people in different countries different ages are having different ideas on their thoughts of bard games. Because the situations in different countries are different , this may lead to different attitudes to board games.
In London gaming market , there is a place that people can trade and communicate with each other about the board games . And it is held every four months. We have to make more opportunities for the board gamer to meet each other, to communicate and to exchange ideas. The competition will improve each other’s skills .The scientists invented a linear board game for the children who are less educated in the lower class.
five destinations: the first is to improve the knowledge of the children. The second is checking the common of the linear board games, and the third is also checking but checking the ability. The fourth is that they want to have a comparison with the elder and younger children, so the elder children have more learning ability, but the younger children are starting at a low level and they can learn more. The fifth goal is to check if there is a relevant thing with the past board games.
There is a board game apparatus which is really absorb my attention. Game design, though, is more of a challenge than game play. It brings you to a situation in a movie, and then you can be the role same as the character. Because of their love to the board games, they can invent a new apparatus which we really need to learn. O
Board games are not just entertainment, it can do a lot of benefits on education and many other aspects. Playing linear numerical board games promotes low‐income children’s numerical development
Empirical testing of such games is currently limited. The paper provides a debate on the significance of empirically exploring the application of board games in counseling and possible research directions. In fact, the authors include some basic instructions for readers to pick and review board games for use for their children’s clients.

Excutive Summary

The demographic awareness of low-income children falls behind that of middle-income peers even before the children reach kindergarten. This gap can reflect previous experience with informal numerical activities, such as numerical board games, that vary. Experiment 1 revealed that pre-schoolers from low-income families’ numerical significance awareness lagged behind peers from more wealthy backgrounds. Experiment 2 showed that playing a simple board game for four 15-minute sessions eliminated the differences in numerical estimation skill. Playing games which replaced numbers with colors did not have that effect. Playing numerical board games therefore provides an inexpensive means of reducing the gap in numerical awareness which divides less and more affluent children when they start school.

First, Second, and the third Argument

1. We can learn from the board game culture and according to the history of board game history to summarize the experience. There are many definitive books on board games and chess, but the hundreds of other sports open to humanity are just a few.

Bibliography 2

1. This research explores how the TD reinforcement learning algorithm and neural networks are applied to the question of creating an agent that can play board games. It offers an analysis of the gains achieved in this field over the past decade and expands this by proposing some potential areas for change. This involves defining and formalizing key game properties that are important to TD-Learning, and exploring various training data generation methods.

2. In this paper, it discusses the first effort to use AI strategies to develop competitive board games such as checkers and go by changing the game itself, not just the criteria for the rule. Their solution includes the use of a general commercial game-playing engine which plays according to rules defined in a general language of game-definition. They use a genetic algorithm to scan the space of game rules, to look for well structured turn-based board games
