Module 7: Maintaining Motivation

Hey everyone! One last time, welcome back. Unfortunately this is the last week of the course but I hope everyone got as much out of the course as I did. This weeks module was full of very useful information and was a great module to end the course with. Slide 6, talks about how the study environment you create plays a significant role in your motivation. The three key components of a persons study environment are their physical (distance, comfort), social (noise, other people) and online (digital distractions, resources) environment. This is useful information because it is crucial to a students studies to select an environment in which they will be most efficient and productive. This idea is something that I have already put into practice. I am most productive when I am in a quiet public place away from my friends. I study best when I am not distracted but I need to be around people doing work in order to stay on task. Thats why when I need to get work done I go to the higher floors of the library. In the future I hope to aim for a more consistent bedtime and wake time as discussed on slide 25. I think getting enough sleep is very important if a person has a lot they need to get done the next day. It will also help a person stay on task if they settle into a routine and stay healthy. I would advise students to make sure they get enough sleep because it is so important to their health. They will feel better and more motivated the next day with a good nights rest and will prevent them from getting sick. Staying healthy is necessary in college because missing things due to illness will cause a student to fall behind which is often times hard to recover from. Thanks again fro reading and I wish everyone the best of luck with their future endeavors.
