London Class – Zoom Classroom

Here is the link to access our Zoom Classroom for our London Class.  Unfortunately ‘London2020’ was already taken so we are using ‘LondonX’ for the link.  This room is always open/available, and just like our physicall class, we will expect everyone to log-in and be present for the duration of our normal class times.

Duo Passcodes

Travel Adapter w/ USB Port – This will allow your US based plugs to fit into a UK socket.  With exception to the USB ports (which have a 5v output) this will NOT convert the 220v to 110v for US devices.  You will either need an additional converter (see below) or have a built in converter on your device.

Votage Converter w/ USB Ports – This will convert 220-240v power to 110-125v for items that cannot do this on their own such as hair driers, electric shavers, straighteners, etc.  This also has multiple adapter plugs to use in the UK and other countries.  With two outlets and two usb ports this serves as both a converter and adapter

UPLOADING DIGITAL SKETCHES TO LONDON 20 CLASS BOX FOLDER

For those drawing digitally, please read prompts below for naming system and either 2 A or B for uploading to Box

  1. Naming system: for full credit, file names should be: last name_first name_ date of in class assignment (meaning the day we sketched it in class). Items drawn don’t need to be uploaded each individually, each day together as one file is fine. For sketches in London we will switch from date of assignment to subject matter (Moore_Aimee_Westminster Abbey for example). I created a folder for each of you in the London 20 class folder (if you haven’t already uploaded content).

2a. Video Below for how to save files from Autodesk Sketchboook to Box.

I was expecting students to be using Adobe Sketch. I had one student try out Sketchbook recently (when I heard about it after term started). Sketchbook has more features for more advanced options, but I think Adobe Sketch is fine and probably better unless one is an expert at sketching and digital drawing on a computer.

2B. Here are the instructions for Adobe Sketch, when you are in a file:

In top right corner menu bar, click upload icon (2nd from right)

Share image

Open in Box

Choose folder (London 20 class and subfolder student creates for their work)

Rename files

Upload (upper right corner)

Let me know if you have questions-
