Tips for Online Note-Taking

Online note-taking can be challenging. But if you have the right resources life will become much easier. The two previous apps I shared are great examples of technologies you can use to become more efficient in terms of note-taking. With the help they provide there is no reason to ever pick handwritten notes over online.

Technology for Online Note Taking #2

App called Notability. Available on iPad and allows a student to get the most out of their notes. Some features it has are easily being able to download documents to annotate, using voice recordings to follow your notes, and much more. As someone who uses Notability regularly, I would recommend it very highly.

3 Takeaways From This Course

  1. I started setting more goals academically. Before we went over goals and motivation in week two, it never popped into my mind. Through this unit I was able to start setting goals and holding myself to a higher academic standard. With that came motivation and it has changed my academic outlook completely.
  2. I started to manage my time better. In week three, we went over how to improve time management. I tend to procrastinate so these readings helped me overcome that bad habit.
  3. The discussion about learning styles also helped me a lot. After doing research I was able to understand what my preferred learning style was. This made learning on my own much easier.
