The two jobs recommended by the website are Executive Producer and Associate Director, Creative Services.  Both of them tend to field of creativity. Executive producer’s work mainly described as supervising the quality of works-like music, movies, games- and the whole process of making the workAs an Associate Director of Creative Services, we need to monitor the process of design part for the company, including the management of creative resources and the effectiveness of creative programs.

I think those jobs could be good choices for me, since I am a person with keen sight and copious thoughts. I am better at perceiving tiny things or subtle changes than most people around me, and I believe this can help me perform better to be an Associate Director that Creative Services since their work need to perceive details to market a good impression for the company. In addition, I am also interested in art, especially movies and literature works, being the Executive Producer is a very enjoyable job to me.

However, both jobs are not matched with my current major. I am currently majoring in economics, but the report shows that the best match major for those jobs are Journalism-for Executive Producer- and Design & Applied Arts. Even though my major of Economics could teach me the model of thinking when facing distribution of resources which include in both jobs, I still lack the professional knowledges like design and advertising. From this point of view, choosing to do those jobs may not be a good idea for me. Therefore, for those who are interested in those jobs, I really recommend you to take Journalism or art related majors for undergraduate education, since those majors could be very helpful while you do those jobs. In addition, I strongly recommend you to practice your social& marketing ability, learn accounting knowledges, and get familiar with those basic applications, like Microsoft Office, Photoshop, etc., before you start to find jobs; those skills are requirements for doing those jobs.

The Executive Producer mainly has a salary range from $48K to $175K, with a median of $103K national wide, and an Associate Director for Creative Services mainly has a salary range from $64K to $142K, with a median of $99. 4K. This range is related high compare to the salary of other careers, and that much salary is more than economic independent for me. Therefore, I am satisfied with the salary. Statistics have shown that the salary also increases as experience increase in both jobs, especially for Executive producer. However, the increase in salary is not suitable when we look at degree of education. Statistics have shown that most people (80%) who take those jobs are bachelors, with upper level degrees like master will not essentially change too much salaries. Therefore, people who regard wages as an important part when considering their career and do not want to spend too much time in university could try those jobs, it will definitely suitable for you.

The satisfaction rate for both jobs are very high-77% for Executive Producer and 70% for Associate Director of Creative Services. However, most people (74% for Executive Producer, and 77% for Associate Director of Creative Services) think those jobs are less meaningfulness. If I have to rank the importance for Satisfaction, Salary, and Meaningfulness, I would rank as following way: Satisfaction>Meaningfulness>Salary. From my perspective, the prerequisite of achieving a successful career is “love”; only when you love the job, you would like to pay more attention on it. In addition, only when you love the job, you can enjoy it.

In conclusion, I think both Executive Producer and Associate Director for Creative Services are good career for me, since they have high enough salary and high satisfaction rate. Even though my major is not match with those jobs and the meaningfulness for both jobs are relatively low, pros are greater than cons. The conclusion is I will choose to do those jobs if they are available to me.
