Personal Profile

My name is Yuetong Liu, and my English name is Regina. I am a student from China. There are three people in my family, which means I am the only child of my mom and dad. I am good at using the most appropriate art form to express every inspiration I encountered in my life. For collecting them, I made a wide publicized, long-term updated personal website as a platform for my literature and art display. The inspiration for these works came from countless moments in life. In literature and art, I want to be a creator because what I love is to find a precise way to realize all potential in art creation.

As for my personal experience, I lived and grew up in Beijing, the capital of China, which is a city with a lot of culture and history. I went to an international department for high school called Beijing NO.35 high school, and all my classmates around me are willing to study abroad, including the USA, UK, and Canada. I went to lots of different interesting places. However, the place that impressed me most is still my hometown, a small town in Henan province, because every year I had the most enjoyable and meaningful moment with my whole family when the new year was coming. We sit together talking about special experiences during the time we were not around each other and set off fireworks after the midnight.

The reason why I choose to study at OSU includes two aspects, improving my personality and setting a clear goal of my career. My school pays attention to innovation when it attracts me the most. The school advocates us to be a leader, innovator, or experimental research participant. In this way, we can discover ourselves. At the same time, the school covers almost all fields of courses. I can choose freely, and I can also touch many interdisciplinary subjects. I decided to major in communication now, but I would try different classes and find out what field I want to spend time to investigate. Because I am interested in the change state of material and idea, I would try to broaden my horizon to get in touch with different materials and ideas in different readings and works.

  4. Hello, Li Yuetong. I’m very interested in presenting your inspiration through the artistic approach that you described in the first part. In my eyes, it seems a very poetic way of life. I’m curious to know what your work is really like. Can you give me a link to the platform where you present your work? Or you can display your work on this blog. Hope to see more of your work.

  5. Hey,Yuetong!
I really appreciate your photographs. You say you like to use art as an expression of inspiration, but I think you also capture inspiration in artistic creation. I think you should pay attention to observe every detail of life and think about it often, because inspiration does not appear out of thin air. I also like to feel life with artistic eyes and fill in the blanks with imagination. May you have a good mood every day!!

  6. Hi Regina! I’m Jason from Malaysia. I’m a person that interest in arts and delightful pictures as well. Apparently I’m a Computer Science student which focuses more onto solving programming errors and would not involve much on creativity I believe. If you would make a blog collection of you arts, I would gladly come and visit often!
