In primary school, I liked to play basketball, but I was often knocked down and injured by my opponents because of my thin body. Later, I learned about the sport of badminton from my father’s friend. He told me that you don’t have to be strong to win, and sometimes a 10-year-old can beat an adult. I felt a great curiosity about badminton then began to study. That’s why I m good at badminton.

I was born in Zhengzhou, so I have to study in Zhengzhou since I was young. I really understand the increasing academic pressure caused by my age. What impressed me most was my junior high school, because I didn’t adapt to courses of junior high school , so I became the bottom of the class. I once doubted my fitness, but my family, friends, and teacher didn’t give up. They encouraged me, so I studied hard then I went to the best high school in Zhengzhou. This is an important turning point for me of my study profile.

Coming to the Ohio state university is another important turning point for me. When I was in my junior high school graduation, I wanted to go abroad to study at that time, and my parents really supported to my idea, cause I can get more learning resources, and I will have more space to display my ability. My major is mathematics, which is a very wide range. I am now going toward to the direction of economics study, so I choose a macroeconomic for my minor because I feel that economy is very interesting, a lot of things happened in daily life can be explained by economics. For example, have you ever noticed that when you eat at an all-you-can-eat buffet, you always go away fuller than when you order and eat at a nonbuffet restaurant? Which means that economists look at facts to find incentives to economic behavior. That is why I like economics.
