Field Hockey has been a part of my life for the last four years. I picked up the sport going into my freshman year and it was a great way to make friends before the school year started. Going from a public school to a private high school this was a great transition. The conditioning is both physically and mentally challenging, which in the short run was hard but in the long run led to close-knit friendships. Since the team was together for the first and most of the second quarter of school, we worked together on our school work. There were study tables after school before practice which provided a great way to study and get advice from the older girls on the team.

I usually do not outwardly represent the things I am involved in, but the Block O pin has been proudly displayed since it was given to me. The Block O pin was one of the first things I received the fist couple of days on campus. The pin is a subtle indication of the school, but it speaks volumes. At first it was just a pin that people around campus had. Then I participated in my first career expo, and the pin was proudly on the lapel of my jacket which showed employers how proud I am of the education I am recieving. Now, it’s back on my backpack and displayed on and off campus. I have been able to excel at The Ohio State University becuase of the amazing experiences and people I have met so far. I proudly wear the Block O pin to let everyone know how much the university means to me.
