G.O.A.L.S.

My group member Ian Underburger and I decided to explore Columbus by going out to eat. We went out at like 7:00 pm on Oct. 31. We plan to do eat at the short North but when you arrived there we found out that it was closed. So we walk around until we found a restaurant call Melt. Melt is a very strange restaurant because it mainly serve grill cheese sandwiches. However, the grill cheese sandwich they serve is very different. Their grill cheese sandwich is just other food items smash between two grill cheese sandwiches. Examples are meatloaf or pork smashed between two grill cheese sandwiches. To our surprise the strange grill cheese sandwich were really good and the portion were very large. My experience were very good. I learn a bunch of stuff about Ian when we were waiting for our food. One thing I learn is that Ian does not ave a favorite music artist. I would definitely recommend Melt to a friend especially if they love grill cheese.

Chinese New Year

Chinese New Year is a Chinese holiday that my family celebrates every year where we gather everyone in our family and have a feast. The holiday does not have to be with people in the family. We can celebrate it with friends or work colleagues. This holiday is very special to me because it defines who I am.  I think of myself as a family person. I love my parents and brother very much. Even in college I still visits them every weekend because I live so close to campus. Without my parents support and guidance I would not have become the person I am today.

About Me

Hello my name is Ryan Lin. I am a first year majoring in Mechanical Engineering. I am currently living in Upper Arlington Columbus. I used to lived in Morristown, a small town in Tennessee, 3 months ago. One of my favorite activity is reading. My favorite book series is Percy Jackson. You can always find me reading a book from my phone. In high school I join a variety of sports. For my first 2 years in high school I joined the cross country team then the next 2 years I played tennis. Also in high school I join the debate club which I would say was the best moments in my high school career. Most of my friends are from either from sports or debate club. I have one brother who just transfer to Upper Arlington High school. His name is Andy Lin and I would say we have nothing in common but we do like to tease each other.

Five of my strengths are fairness, forgiveness, judgment, hope, and curiosity. I am very fair with people because I don’t want to treat anyone differently. I am always willing to forgive because everyone deserves a second chance. My judgment is very logical because when I was young I was taught to listen to both side of the story before i make a judgment. Hope is very connected to me because when ever I feel down or bad I always know that it will get better. Curiosity drives my learning. When I am curious of something I learn it faster and it is more fun.
