Service Engagement:
Throughout the year, I was involved in many service opportunities. Most of them were completed through A Moment of Magic which is a nonprofit organization that visits medically vulnerable children at hospitals, schools, organization events and homes. Some of the events I have participated through A Moment of Magic are, Miracle League All Star Event, Good Neighbors of Central Ohio Picnic, Columbus Walk for Apraxia, Columbus Buddy Walk and Light the Night with Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Outside of AMOM, I have also volunteered with an after-school program called HAY Kids which promotes wellness and growth for underprivileged Asian American children in the community. Healthy Asian Youth (HAY) provides tutoring, mentor-ship, leadership training, and other educational needs to undeserved K-12 students in the Upper Arlington and West Side areas of Columbus. I am also a part of the Young Scholars Program (YSP) and am a Scholar Ambassador. As an Ambassador, I help build relationships and create meaningful experiences with current YSP high school students and help them prepare to become future Buckeyes.
