The Believe in Ohio STEM Innovation and Entrepreneurship Scholarship application is now available. High school juniors and seniors who have “distinguished themselves in a significant, rigorous STEM or entrepreneurship competition, research project, or published manuscript that demonstrates the applicants potential to become a future innovator” are encouraged to apply. Are you at least 14 years of age, or will be 14 years of age by January 1, 2022? Then we have just what you need!
You are now eligible for county, state and national project award recognition, selection to attend 2022 state and national trips, and possibly even the opportunity to apply for scholarships as a high school senior! All of these opportunities are available to YOU – but you have to apply for them! The deadline to apply is Friday, October 15th, and all of the 2021-2022 application materials can be found on our Teen Opportunities page.

2021 Cloverbot Challenge
It’s time for the 2021 4-H Cloverbot Challenge! All clubs with Cloverbuds are encouraged to participate!
This year we’re going to space and the challenge happens on Mars! Cloverbuds will design a place to live on the Red Planet and create a model featuring their method of transportation. The 4-H Cloverbot Challenge will be virtual via Zoom on Monday, July 12 or Thursday, July 22 from 6:30-8 p.m. All teams must register by June 30 and new teams can order a kit to help them get started at a reduced rate thanks to support from the Ohio 4-H Foundation.

4-H STEM at Farm Science Review
While you won’t be able to visit the Farm Science Review in person this year, Ohio 4-H will still be offering many STEM activities virtually. You can view the schedule and sign up for the activities you’re interested in by visiting fsr.osu.edu. All sessions will be recorded, so if you are unable to join in live, you can view the recording after the Farm Science Review.
2020 4-H STEM Challenge
Blast-off to Mars with Ohio 4-H and join the 4-H STEM Challenge
We’re launching a trip to Mars Base Camp and want to help you get there! The 2020 4-H STEM Challenge explores sending a mission to Mars and what it takes to sustain life in space. The Mars Base Camp kit includes activities that use STEM skills like mechanical engineering, physics, computer science, and agriculture.
We want Ohio 4-H families to join in and thanks to the Ohio 4-H Foundation and Google, you can receive an $8 discount on the Mars Base Camp family kit. The family kit is available at shop4-h.org for $15.95, plus shipping, but with the Ohio 4-H discount and the $5 discount available on their website, your final cost is just $7.80 + tax.

Girls in STEM 2020
Girls In STEM at NASA GRC
Girls In STEM is a one-day event held at NASA Glenn that is designed to inspire middle school student interest in STEM fields. The event features women working in STEM fields at NASA Glenn, engaging STEM activities, and tours of NASA Glenn’s facilities.
Due to current health restrictions, Girls In STEM 2020 will be conducted as a virtual event. This event will include a virtual tour of a NASA Glenn facility, an online presentation from a female engineer, and a STEM activity that participants will do live during the event. Due to software limitations, the event will be limited to the first 80 registrations received.
PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS:
• Internet Access
• This experience is open for all middle-school-aged participants.
• An adult must complete the application and agree to support the student’s participation during this event.
• A webcam is optional.
