Come be a part of the team! The application for the 2023 Hartford Fair Junior Fair Board is now available HERE. Completed applications must be turned in by November 15, 2022. Applicants must be age 14 as of 01/01/2023 to apply for the junior fair board. Interviews will take place on Saturday, December 3rd at the Licking County Extension Office. Once you have submitted your application, please call our office at 740-670-5315 to schedule your interview.
Farm Credit Mid-America and Rural 1st have put out the challenge for local communities to help feed those in need while supporting junior fairs. The “Fight the Hunger, Stock the Trailer” campaign encourages community members to bring non-perishable food items to the fair where they will be collected and then donated to the Food Pantry Network of Licking County.
Bring your items to the Hartford Fair August 7th-13th and place them in the stock trailer located at the front of Grubb Arena or drop them off to the Junior Fair Board Office. All participating fairs will receive $500 to support their Junior Fair Board and Junior Fair Programming. The fairs that collect the most pounds of food will be awards $5,000 for 1st place, $3,500 for 2nd place and $1,500 for 3rd place.
We have our eyes set on 1st place and need your help to get there! We know the Hartford Fair community is strong, and this campaign is a winning situation for all involved!
Licking County 4-H Members who will be 14 Years Old during 2022…

In hopes of increasing the number of teens who serve on the 2022 Hartford Junior Fair Board, we are extending an offer to apply to those 4-H / FFA teens who will be at least FOURTEEN (14) as of January 1, 2021. Typically, JFB applications are only accepted from those who be at least 15 years of age – but this a limited time offer – with applications being due by November 24, 2021.

You are now eligible for county, state and national project award recognition, selection to attend 2022 state and national trips, and possibly even the opportunity to apply for scholarships as a high school senior! All of these opportunities are available to YOU – but you have to apply for them!
