2024 Meat Chicken and Duck Pool Order Forms
The 2024 Meat Chicken Pool and 2024 Meat Duck Pool order forms are now available. Forms are due with payment to the Licking County Extension Office by 4:00pm on Friday, April 19, 2024. ALL junior fair exhibitors who are planing to enter market chicken or market duck classes at the Hartford Fair MUST purchase their chickens or ducks through the poultry pool ordering process.
REMINDER: 2024 Hartford Fair Scholarship Due
The 2024 Hartford Fair Scholarship is available and due to the Hartford Fair Office by March 4, 2024. Applicant must be a graduating senior, live within the Hartford Fair District and be a member of one of the following: 4-H, FFA, FCCLA or Steer Pool. Applicant must be pursuing an education in a 2 or 4-year program at an accredited and degree granting institution.
Southeastern Ohio Horse Shows at the Hartford Fairgrounds
The Southeastern Ohio Horse Show Organization will hold a series of shows at the Hartford Fairgrounds from May through September. This could be a close opportunity for horse project members to have additional experience showing. You can find more details on their Facebook Page.

The 2024 Hartford Fair Scholarship is available and due to the Hartford Fair Office by March 4, 2024. 2024 Turkey Pool Order Form
The order form for the 2024 Hartford Fair Junior Market Turkey Pool is now available HERE. Forms with payment must be mailed or delivered to the Licking County Extension Office by 4:00pm on Friday, March 1, 2024. ALL meat turkey projects will come from the Hartford Fair meat turkey pool. If you intend to show meat turkeys at the fair in 2024, you must submit an order by the deadline to be eligible. Please read through all the details on the order form.

2024 Hartford Fair Market Steer / Heifer exhibitors are asked to make note of the following details to ensure that their market animals are registered online (by noon on November 30) and weighed-in on December 2, 2023 in preparation for the 2024 Hartford Fair. Online Registration: go.osu.edu/2024HartfordWeighIn
Details regarding eligibility for the Ohio State Fair Junior Fair Market Steer / Heifer show can be found HERE. DNA samples are to be submitted to the OSF by no later than January 15. Change in 2024: OSF is no longer providing 840 EID tags – they must be provided by the exhibitor / breeder, with tag number note on DNA packet prior to submission.
Stock the Trailer Contest Results
Many thanks to all of the Licking County 4-H families that supported Stock The Trailer during the Hartford Fair! We placed 3rd in our region. It’s an honor to be able to support so many families in need within our community! 13,508 pounds of food can do so much good in our communities.
