Introduction to Still Project Workshop

The Licking County 4-H Food and Fashion Board is hosting an Introduction to Still Project Workshop to help members who are new to 4-H or are new to taking still projects (clothing, food, and special interest projects). This workshop will take place on Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at 6:30pm at the Licking County Extension Office. We plan to share tips for completing your projects and answer questions you may have to get you off to a good start with your projects. REMINDER: 2023 Food and Fashion Board Applications Due

The application for the 2023 Licking County 4-H Food and Fashion Board is due by November 15, 2022. To be eligible to apply, members must at least 14 years old as of January 1, 2022. They must have completed a 4-H food or clothing project in 2022 and plan to complete a 4-H food or clothing project in 2022. Members serve in a leadership role to support the food and clothing project areas. Members will plan and host workshops, help with judging, plan and run the style revue, and host other events to support our Licking County 4-H members. The application is due by Interviews will be held on Thursday, December 1, 2022 from 3:00-4:00pm and 7:00-8:00pm. Please reach out to Adrienne Anderson (anderson.1410@osu.edu) to schedule and interview time.

2022 Licking County 4-H Achievement Night

We are excited to recognize our members and advisors at the annual Licking County 4-H Achievement Night. Email invites went out to all advisors and those members who will be recognized at the event. If you received an email, please be sure to RSVP at the link in the email if you plan to attend. A list of areas being recognized is listed below. If you did not receive and email but you have a member who should be recognized in one of the areas below, please reach out to Adrienne at anderson.1410@osu.edu so she can check to ensure we haven’t missed anyone.

Virtual Project Judging Question and Answer Session

The Licking County 4-H Food and Fashion Board will be hosting a Virtual Q&A Session to answer questions you may have about 4-H Project Judging. Members will be on Zoom on Thursday, July 7, 2022 at 7:30pm. Whether it is a general question that needs answered or one specific to a project, they will be happy to help. 4-H Project Judging Workshop

The Licking County 4-H Food and Fashion Board will once again host a 4-H Project Judging Workshop on Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at 6:30pm at the Licking County Extension Office. This workshop will focus on preparing for and what to expect at 4-H Project Judging on Tuesday, July 12th. While a portion of the program will focus specifically on food and clothing projects, they will also share information on special interest project and answer question you may have. This event is free and no registration is required.

Introduction to Food & Clothing Projects Workshop

The Licking County 4-H Food and Fashion Board will be hosting workshops to help members new to food and clothing projects be better prepared to complete their project(s) and participate in judging. The workshops will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2022 at the Licking County Extension Office. There will be two separate workshops that will be held back-to-back. The Foods and Nutrition Project Workshop will start at 1:00pm. The Clothing Project Workshop will start at 2:30pm. Members may attend one or both. A parent or adult project helper is required to attend with the youth. These workshops will focus on completing your projects and preparing for 4-H project judging. Don’t Forget! Achievement Award Forms Due October 15th

Are you at least 14 years of age, or will be 14 years of age by January 1, 2022? Then we have just what you need!

You are now eligible for county, state and national project award recognition, selection to attend 2022 state and national trips, and possibly even the opportunity to apply for scholarships as a high school senior! All of these opportunities are available to YOU – but you have to apply for them! The deadline to apply is Friday, October 15th, and all of the 2021-2022 application materials can be found on our Teen Opportunities page.
