So You Want to Show a Goat?

There will be a session on basic goat housing, feeding, care, transportation, project books, showing/exhibition opportunities, and their approximate costs. This is a great opportunity for those showing goats for the first time or who are thinking about showing goats and want to learn more about what goes into a goat project.

When: Monday, February 24, 2025 at 6:00pm

Where: McLaughlin Farm at 4906 Outville Rd, Granville, OH 43023

There is no cost or registration, just come and learn!

Please dress warmly and wear appropriate footwear for the mud. This farm is on a hill and it is very cold and windy.

REMINDER: 2025 Turkey Pool Order Forms Available

The order form for the 2025 Hartford Fair Junior Market Turkey Pool is now available HERE. Forms with payment must be mailed or delivered to the Licking County Extension Office by 4:00pm on Friday, March 7, 2025. ALL meat turkey projects will come from the Hartford Fair meat turkey pool. If you intend to show meat turkeys at the fair in 2025, you must submit an order by the deadline to be eligible. Please read through all the details on the order form.

2025 Meat Chicken and Meat Duck Order Forms Available

The 2025 Meat Chicken Pool and 2025 Meat Duck Pool order forms are now available. Forms are due with payment to the Licking County Extension Office by 4:00pm on Friday, April 18, 2025. ALL junior fair exhibitors who are planing to enter market chicken or market duck classes at the Hartford Fair MUST purchase their chickens or ducks through the poultry pool ordering process.

2025 Hartford Fair Youth Scholarship Application

The 2025 Hartford Fair Scholarship is available and due to the Hartford Fair Office by March 31, 2025. Applicant must be a graduating senior, live within the Hartford Fair District and be a member of one of the following: 4-H, FFA, FCCLA or Steer Pool. Applicant must be pursuing an education in a 2 or 4-year program at an accredited and degree granting institution.
