Quality Assurance Training and Horse Safety & Ethics Programs

The first of six Licking County Quality Assurance Trainings and Horse Safety & Ethics Programs will be on Wednesday, March 11, 2020 at the Ohio State Newark Campus in Founders Hall starting at 6:30pm.

All youth planning to exhibit livestock at the Hartford Independent Fair or the Ohio State Fair in 2020 must complete a Quality Assurance training by June 1, 2020. Any youth not meeting this requirement will be ineligible to exhibit livestock this year. Any youth who is enrolled in a horse project for the first time is required to attend a Horse Safety & Ethics Program in order to show at the Hartford Independent Fair or the Ohio State Fair in 2020. They must complete a Horse Safety & Ethics Program by June 1, 2020. At least one parent or guardian is required to attend with the member. Any youth or advisors needing their photo taken for the Hartford Fair photo IDs may do so between 5:30-6:30pm.

 

Members who need to have their photo taken:

  • All new exhibitors and ALL advisors (Advisor photos will now be good for three (3) years. All advisors should have their photo taken in 2020)
  • All 2020 exhibitors with last names beginning with N thru Z (even years).
