About Me

Claudia Lewis is very excited to join The Ohio State family as an incoming freshman, in the Honors program, this fall. In high school, some of the most valuable lessons she learned came not from textbooks, but rather her interactions with her teachers, classmates, and teammates. She looks forward to expanding her knowledge in the classroom and taking advantage of the many different extracurriculars offered at Ohio State, ranging from intramural sports to community service. She realizes that success relies not only on intelligence, but rather a combination of intelligence and the ability to be personable.

Claudia is happiest when she is around others. Her proudest moments involve helping others who are struggling or enduring a hardship. With three younger brothers and endless babysitting jobs, she finds herself most comfortable working with children. These passions have led her to pursuing a career in pediatrics. She hopes to become a pediatrician and eventually specialize in something, though she is not sure what yet. She likes the idea of being a “pro” at one’s specific specialty and the ability to help others in very unique situations. She is always up for a challenge and is looking forward to tacking the challenges that college will throw at her.
