Year in Review

Over the past year, I have seen character development and growth within myself in various different ways. Socially, I have been able to meet new people from all over and make many new friends. It was important for me to branch out and step outside my comfort zone by meeting new people because that is something I tend to struggle with. Joining mount scholars was one of the best decisions I have made because it forced me to make friends outside of my high school bubble and create an entirely new experience. Another way I have seen growth within myself is my dedication to my academics. I had a rigorous first year by taking biology and chemistry in the same semester which included two labs a week. It was always very important to me to make sure my work was completed before I hung out with friends. I have learned great ways to study that have helped me score high marks on my exams and end with the grades I want. Throughout high school, I was in a habit of studying last minute because I was able to do so and still get good grades. Now reflecting on this past year, I changed my study methods to prepare further in advance which helped me transition from high school classes to college classes.
