Peloton Bike Review: An Exclusive, Studio-like Cycling Experience

Another object that has made a big impact on my life was the Peloton bike. It has allowed me to better my physical and mental health, along with inspiring me on a day to day basis. Growing up, I participated in many sports and activities, meaning I was always busy and active. My never-ending activities led me to have a passion for exercise. During my off seasons, I would consistently go to the gym in order to be in better shape for the next season. Once covid hit, I was unable to attend the gym or workout much. About a month into quarantine, my parents decided to order a Peloton (stationary bike with online classes). I started riding once a week but soon progressed to five or six days a week. Every ride on the bike was a journey and experience. I’ve learned how to discipline and then push myself beyond what I believed I was capable of. Each class was a competition within myself, striving to earn a higher output than the ride before. Not only was I getting a full body workout in to satisfy my passion for fitness, but I was growing as an individual mentally. At Peloton, there are a wide range of classes for all levels and types of people, with a wide range of instructors. The instructors are all very passionate about what they do: sending positive messages while providing a workout. The instructors consistently provide the class with words of encouragement and wisdom. On many occasions, I have felt inspired by what I’ve heard and used their words to look at life with a better outlook. The Peloton bike, for those 30 minute classes, allows me to exit the world of stress and focus on myself. I started riding the bike for exercise, but I have gained much more knowledge on myself and my wellbeing. I am grateful that I have been able to grow and work on myself during quarantine.
