My First Semester Reflection

This semester has been quite a ride. I feel like I have adjusted well to college life, but it has definitely been difficult being away from home. I have gotten much closer to a lot of the students in the dance program and have formed a sort of family. I am also excited to say that I have chose to add musical theatre as a minor! I am super excited to see what next semester brings with a whole new set of classes, but for now, I am ready to go home and be with my family for a little while.

My First Week at OSU

My first week at The Ohio State University has been so much fun! I love it here. I met so many new people within a few days. I began classes in Sullivant this week, the dance studios are gorgeous. I am taking Ballet and Contemporary this semester and I really enjoy the teachers and the environment they create in the classroom. It was also the first week of getting up early since I graduated from high school. I have an 8 am class two days a week. The first couple mornings were pretty rough, but by the end of the week I was used to it and got into a nice routine. I also added a minor to my degree, so thats exciting! Along with my Dance Major and Video Arts Minor, I added a Musical Theatre Minor. I can’t wait to get all my General Education classes finished so I can do what I love all day, everyday. I have also enjoyed the community here at Baker West, with all the Art Scholars. Me and my roommate always leave our door open, we want people to feel like they can just come in and hangout. Overall, I am having a great time her at the University and I think I am adjusting well. I have a set schedule and I have been good at balancing homework and study time with “fun” time. There is so much going on campus everyday, never a dull moment!
