Mentor Meetup

I have met my mentor Jaime Schmotzer at the Connecting Grounds her at The Ohio State University on Thursday September 26 at 3 and lasted until 3:30. I had not have much interaction with my mentor other than when we met for the first time and also when we had our mentor meetup. I learned that being in the scholars group may open new doors in the future. Also, I have learned about the various programs that are offered such as clubs. The most interesting thing that we talked about was about our backstories that we both have of our lives. Such as how she had to plan for her trip and how she applied for the step program. Something that I found surprising was the amount of work you had to do if you are in the step program and you don’t want to study abroad but you want to travel the states. You would have to plan everything out of how you will use the money. I feel very comfortable to contact my mentor in the future I feel like I got more information than I used to know. Also, I feel like I had a very fun conversation with my mentor.
