My name is Rylan Lee and I am a first year Arts Scholar!
Major? English! I want to be either a high school or college English teacher.
Where are you from? I’ve lived in Ohio for the past four years, but have lived many places growing up. So, the question of where I am from can be a hard one to answer. I was born in Alabama and have lots of family there but I only lived there six months after I was born. I suppose we can just pull out the “It’s Complicated” status.
Family? I am an only child, firstly. My mother lives in Westerville, Ohio with our three cats: Widget, Lily, and Perseus Cruz. My father and his girlfriend live in Bangkok, Thailand. Most of the rest of my family live down South in Alabama, Georgia, and Florida.
Arts Interest? My primary passions in the arts are dance and creative writing. Currently, I am a dance minor at OSU and, while it is not creative writing, I am keeping writing in my life by blogging for Ohio State’s Buckeyes Blog. Aside from those, I also have a side enthusiasm for cinema. I’m a huge Terrence Malick fan (fanatic).
Fast Facts? Ok. I am currently going through a stage of eating peanut butter out of the jar. My favorite movie is Moulin Rouge! but that’s about the only thing for which I have a favorite. For the rare few who have seen The Grimm Adventures of Billy and Mandy, I think my spirit animal is Fred Fredburger. And I love to travel!
