When is Lawrence County 4-H Enrollment deadline?
-Enrollment deadline is March 31st, 2021.
Who can enroll?
-Ohio 4-H membership is based on a child’s age AND grade
as of January 1 of the current calendar year. Eligibility for
Cloverbud participation begins when a child is age 5 and
enrolled in kindergarten. Eligibility for participation in 4-H
projects and competitive events begins when a child is age 8
and in third grade. Any youth age 9 or above is eligible for
project membership, regardless of grade level.
What is a Cloverbud and what projects can they take?
-The youngest 4-H members are called Cloverbuds (youth
age 5 and in kindergarten to age 8 and in the third grade).
4-H volunteers lead activities that explore topics such as
health, earth and the environment, citizenship, plants and
animals, science and technology, personal development,
Creative arts, and more! Cloverbuds are noncompetitive and
are only eligible to take “My 4-H Cloverbud Year” project
book.

Will there be a Lawrence County Fair, and when?
-July 10-17, 2021. “Message from Fair Board President, Randall
Lambert… The Lawrence County Fair Board is currently making
preparations to have a full fair for 2021. (Complete with rides,
food vendors, livestock shows, grandstand attractions, etc.)
Governor Mike Dewine recently announced that Ohio Fairs
would be permitted to operate at a 30% occupancy capacity.
We will be following all State and CDC Guidelines. (At this
time, masks and social distancing will be required.) Although
nothing is guaranteed during these unpredictable times, we
are continuing to move forward with our plans for the 2021
fair season. We will provide you with additional information as
it comes available.”
