Carmen DiGiovine | Faculty DirectoryCarmen P. DiGiovine is a Rehabilitation Engineer and is currently a Clinical Associate Professor in the Occupational Therapy Division and the Biomedical Engineering Department at The Ohio State University.  He is the Director of Rehabilitation Science and Technology for the Assistive Technology Center at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. He is also the Director of Admissions for the Occupational Therapy Division. His areas of interest include assistive technology, rehabilitation engineering, evidence-based practice, clinical guideline development and technology commercialization.  He has over 20 years of experience in the fields of assistive technology and rehabilitation engineering, and is an active member of the Rehabilitation Engineering and Assistive Technology Society of North America (RESNA). He has presented at national and international conferences for the past 20 years, and regularly teaches courses at The Ohio State University.

Lindsey Paden Cargill, M.A., CCC-SLP is a speech-language pathologist and the Director of Therapy Services at Bridgeway Academy. Lindsey received her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees at the University of Florida and has specialized working with clients with a variety of developmental disabilities including autism, down syndrome, craniofacial anomalies, low-incidence syndromes and hearing impairments and specializes in the clinical application of augmentative and alternative communication within these populations. She also has extensive experience consulting and presenting in AAC-based topics across the world. Lindsey is passionate about disability inclusion and advocacy, clinical best practice and clinical management.

Sam is a Speech-Language Pathologist at Bridgeway Academy, a non-profit education and therapy center with a mission to inspire the potential and celebrate the ability of every child.  She has been a member of the Bridgeway Academy Speech Team since August 2010.  Sam is a LAMP Certified Professional; level two PROMPT trained; trained in the Hunter Heartbeat Method; and, received an Award for Continuing Education from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association.  She has presented at several conferences including ASHA, ATIA, OCALI, Milestones, Arts and Autism, and various music therapy conferences.  Sam graduated with her Bachelor’s degree in Speech and Hearing Science and her Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, both from The Ohio State University.
