Last week we were able to make new connections between our lab, la Asociación Mexicana de Terapeutas en Comunicación Humana, Nationwide Children’s Hospital and new collaborators from the UNAM.
Meag Horn, bilingual SLP from Nationwide Children’s and John gave talks at an event that forms part of the Asociación’s efforts toward providing continuing education for SLPs. This really excellent event was organized by Asociación President Ximena Carreto-Guadarrama, who is a linguist, SLP and lab member.
We also got the chance to spend some time with our neuropsychologist friends from the UNAM, FES, Iztacala and learn about their fascinating projects, while working on some of our current collaborations.
It was a great trip and we hope to continue to deepen our connections and do more and better basic and applied language science!
