Hello,
I am Daniel Lane, DNP, RN, CNE, NE-BC, and I am an OSU graduate. Thank you for visiting my teaching portfolio blog.
I graduated in May 2020 with my DNP & a Nurse Educator Certificate.
This year is my 30th year in the healthcare field and 21 years as an RN. I started my healthcare career working in the laundry room at a local hospital. My college roommate persuaded me to become a nurse aide on one of the nursing units and that started my long journey of becoming a nurse. After graduating with my ADN, I worked on Med-Surg units, the Emergency Department, and Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). While in the PACU, I started working on my BSN. Around the time of finishing my BSN, I also became the manager of the PACU. A year later, I started my MSN program. Since graduating with my MSN, I have been a manager over Med-Surg units, Telemetry-Step Down Units, Pediatric Unit, Nursing Informatics, and now Quality Management.
I have taught weekend clinical rotations for Kent State University, and I am currently an on-line, adjunct instructor for South University’s RN to BSN program.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family. This summer, we visited Washington, DC on the way to the beach! Our 2019 OSU Rose Bowl Trip!
