This module was amazing because it spoke upon the power of motivation, which i love to research about. One of my favorites slides in this module is the concept of motivation being taught intrinsic and extrinisic. The biggest thing in life is finding stuff that pushes you to be the best person you can possibly be. The examples that can adjust your motivation are going to physical environment, social environment, online environment. With pyshical environment the actions that would effect your environment would be distance comfort and supplies. Then when it comes to social the noise and other people would be the factors that effect your motivation. When i applied these two aspects to my life this week, i felt myself pushing myself to complete most of my exams to the best of my ablities. Also i tried to put myself in environements where the music or noise would not disturb what i was doing so that helped me to achieve more work. For future students the best thing to do is to figure out what fuels you and stick with it. What makes you want to be the best version of yourself because once you find that, you will be unstoppable.

Researching

This module was great because I was able to witness great ways to research for school papers. I am happy to see that Wikipedia is not a reliable source for school papers. There have been many times where I thought it was but I was unsure so I still submitted my paper. At times some professors would accept it and others would not, so I am glad to finally get a definitive answer whether it is or not a credible source. Also, I did not know how easy it was to cite from scholarly sources. I will be using the university database more often for papers now. Next Google Scholar which there is a video on how to use it would be very easy for me to use for my papers. I think this is the one i would use most often just because it is the easiest one to use. The advice I would give to future students is that if you have to doubt the resource you are using, you probably should not use it. You should feel comfortable with the resource you are using and know that it is a credible and reliable source of information for your paper.

taking notes

The most useful tips I learned from this week module is the importance of taking notes. I like the method of using bulletin points when it comes to notes because if you try to copy literally everything the professor says you will drive yourself crazy. I typically use bulletin points myself because i like to only remember the main points of the lecture. I don’t like having unnecessary material in notes that do not have any importance to the lecture. Next, the video on whether to take notes on an ipad or on a paper was very helpful. I never thought to use my ipad because all my life ive been so accustomed to writing on paper. But with the ipad it seems much easier, and you can copy the notes the professor may post on carmen then make edits on the notes. With a piece of paper, it is also easier to lose which will take away from the importance of having notes. Overall this week module came at a great time because with virtual learning i catch myself taking a lot of notes than i ever did because i am teaching myself how to do all the work. I will apply the tools used in this module to make myself a better student in the classroom.

Multi tasking

This week module was great because it talked about ways to memorize the material you learn in a class. One of the most useful tips i learned in the module was focusing on one assignment at a time. That is so important i tend to at times try to cram for two exams at one time instead of studying for one then studying for the other later. The slide that speaks on doing your homework then trying to watch t.v t the same time hits home for me because i do that all the time. I love sports so i try not to miss any games but at the same time i want to keep up my grades. Even though the t.v is usally on very low volume while im studying it can still be very distracting as i am doing my school work. I learned in this module i need to go all in on my homework when im doing it rather than trying to more than one thing at once. In the future i will focus on working on my homework and exams solely by itself then treat myself with t.v time when im done doing my school work that means alot to me.

student audience

The most useful thing I learned in this module was the communication of email. It is important to make sure you are presenting your best self because it is important to give your best first impression to a friend or colleague. First impression is a key in a professional setting because you may not have the opportunity to impress that person again. It is important to take advantage of the person you are writing to attention in the first few moments of your email. Stating in the first few lines that you will be discussing in the email can help tell the person you are writing to what you are going to talk about. I put into action of when I send emails now I proofread it, I use to at times send emails and not read over it. But now I after this module I proofread every email I send. By putting this email strategy into place, I feel like the strength of my emails have improved. After reading the module about emails I think its important for students to make sure there heading is properly set. By having a subject line, greeting, content and closing in order. By doing that you can ensure yourself typing a great email.
