Agricultural Business (suggested course sequence)

Agricultural business integrates business, marketing and economic principles applicable to agribusiness and related industries.

With the Associate of Science degree, agricultural business majors complete a combination of technical and general courses that allow them to gain hands-on experience while completing 50 percent of the curriculum for a Bachelor of Science degree in agriculture at The Ohio State University College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences.

Students complete general education courses in English, mathematics, biology, chemistry, history, music, rural sociology, economics, and agricultural communication

Career Prospects
Those who graduate with a major in agribusiness and applied economics are prepared for careers in:

• Management
• Finance
• Marketing and sales
• Resource economics and management
• Public service as 4-H or Extension Agent

Related Programs
Ohio State ATI also offers an Associate of Applied Science degree in business management and an Associate of Science or transfer degree in food business. This degree option allows students to begin their course work toward a Bachelor of Science degree in food business management.
