My colleague, Kelsie Bernot, and I were reunited to present our poster at the Lilly Conference on College Teaching. This is a fantastic conference held by Miami University in Oxford Ohio. We presented our poster on service learning, and met a bunch of great people who gave us really good feedback.
This idea stemmed from a talk I saw at last year’s conference. Kelsie took the idea and ran with it, really making a nice project for the students. We then developed it further into a sustainable project, with the help of OSU’s Service Learning Initiative. Now we are collecting data to look at the efficacy of the service learning project in the course.
This Lilly conference was no different then last year, as I came away with lots of new ideas and projects to try!
