About Me
Hello my name is Johnathan (Johnny) Kube. I grew up in a small town outside of Cincinnati, Ohio called Goshen. I have two brothers and a sister. Throughout my childhood I played sports all year. I played football, basketball, and baseball. I played football and baseball all four years in high school and I only played basketball my freshman year. I was awarded First and Second team in baseball in the SBAAC. Academically I participated in my school’s Science Challenge team and helped us win second place in the county my Senior year. The team went on to the regional challenge and I won seventh place in the two events I was in. I was also given the opportunity to present a science experiment in a regional competition at the University of Cincinnati.
Science has always been my favorite subject in school and has been a major influence on my life. As a kid I was fascinated by dinosaurs and other prehistoric creatures. I was also very interested in fossils. This fascination and interest led me to want to be a paleontologist around the age of 5. Today I still have that same passion and interest in fossils, I am majoring in Earth Sciences and hoping to get doctoral degree in paleontology. I have spent a lot of time in creek beds near my hometown and I have accumulated a vast collection of fossils. My hope is to one day travel the world doing what I love; collecting fossils.
