We are welcoming Rome Center head Davide Vitali today to take us on a circuit through the Campo Marzio, home of many of Rome’s icons: the Pantheon, the Spanish Steps, and the Trevi Fountain. It will be a long journey and the weather is uncertain, so a light umbrella or rain jacket may be a smart idea.

9:30-12:30 tour part one

12:30-1:30 lunch

1:30-5:30 tour part two, ending at Piazza Navona

1A Orientation – May 14, 2018

Piazza del Popolo, S. Maria in Montesanto, S. Maria dei Miracoli, S. Maria del Popolo

Today we’ll get oriented to our homebase, go over our work to date, and start exploring Rome together at the Piazza del Popolo! Remember to bring your work for Exercise 1 and 2, as well as your drawing tools. It looks like the weather will be cool with periods of rain, and we will be ducking into some churches, so dress accordingly.
