Sophomore Year

Coming in as a sophomore, I was ready to tackle life. I felt confident in all of the classes I was enrolled in and felt assured I was down the right path. My intro to kinesiology class really kick started my interest in exercise science. Now more than ever, I am excited to continue to education here at OSU. Additionally, I decided to pick up a minor in Clinical Psychology. My interest in how the brain works and the reasoning behind decision making really motivated me to further my knowledge in that field. Aside from school, my time on the Ohio State Dance Team continued. In addition to the 2 national championship titles my team and I won last year in the Pom and Jazz category, we added another national championship this year winning with our pom routine. I love putting in all of the time and hard work to represent OSU while continuing my passion for dance. This year I also joined an organization called Breathe Hope. It’s an organization that uses yoga, wellness, and service to raise awareness for Cystic Fibrosis. CF is a progressive genetic disease that affects over 30,000 people in the US and for which there is no cure. I had the honor of teaching a dance class at BuckeyeThon to promote Breathe Hope and raise awareness for CF. Breathe Hope has led me to become a part of something bigger than myself or the university. Overall, this year has led me to myriad achievements academically and helped me pursue my interest and goals in life.
